Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says the Premier League leaders will not be allowed to take Huddersfield lightly this weekend.

The teams meet on Nissan Super Sunday and City will be hot favourites to claim their 12th win from just 13 Premier League matches this season.

But Huddersfield continue to surprise under David Wagner and, having been promoted via the play-offs, lie 10th in the table after making a solid start to Premier League life.

Guardiola said: "I have said many times. With me, complacency, that is not going to happen.

"We played last season against them [Huddersfield] - we were not able to win there in the FA Cup [drawing 0-0 before winning the replay 5-1].

"We realised how complicated it is to play there. What my colleague Wagner has done speaks for itself, in the Championship, the Premier League.

"The result against [Manchester] United [a 2-1 win] is a good signal. At home, they get good results.

"They are well-organised, when they decide to make high pressing they are so intense.

"Like every game away in the Premier League, it will be tough." SBOBET

City have been virtually unstoppable in the Premier League this season so far

Guardiola has no fresh injuries to contend with and says captain Vincent Kompany, who returned to action after injury last week, is again available for selection.

The City boss appeared a little disgruntled with the performance after City needed a late winner to beat Feyenoord 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday.

But, when asked if he had been unhappy with proceedings, he said: "No, that is not true.

"I am not disappointed. Sometimes I have to explain, I have to tell them what we see about the performance."

Regarding the season overall, he added: "No complaints at all, just the injuries - (Benjamin) Mendy, and Vincent and John Stones.

"Sometimes you cannot control that. But in terms of many many things, I am pleased, [while] knowing we can do better."
